Leading projects

The real estate projects undertaken by Aéroports de Paris on its airport sites are intended to provide support for the growth of air transport companies.
To offer the best quality service, Aéroports de Paris takes care to :

• locate buildings in an optimal manner, as close as possible to clients ;
• improve traffic flow on the platforms ;
• reduce operation times ;
• facilitate time savings and reinforce punctuality ;
• improve security.

Three major projects are at the heart of the airport services optimization strategy.

The A380 maintenance hangar, a flagship project

Aéroports de Paris Real Estate is creating a purpose-built maintenance zone to the west of the Charles de Gaulle airport on 116,000m² of land, including 47,000 m² of aircraft zones to prepare for the reception of the super jumbos.

This project will be rolled out in 4 phases between 2005 and 2012.

The first phase includes :

  • - construction of a 10,000m² hall, with a roof height of 40m, as well as an office building and storage structure ;
  • - construction of an aircraft zone in front of the hangar, and a washing facility ;
  • - a connecting lane to a traffic area (the “Mike” lane).

This phase, started in March 2005 (preparation of building sites), will be completed in March 2007 (hangar goes into service).

New units for the Servair/Acna companies to improve the flow of movement within the airport zone

Aéroports de Paris Real Estate develops land plots in order to building new units dedicated to aircraft catering, fitting out and cleaning services for the Servair and Acna companies. The total site covers approximately 4 hectares in the eastern logistics zone of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport.

These units will be located in the zone bordering Servair and Acna’s main client, Air France. This optimal location will enable the Real Estate Division of Aéroports de Paris to simplify operations and improve fluidity and security, by decreasing the number of movements within the reserved zone. It will also facilitate aircraft punctuality, and therefore improve the quality of service for passengers.

These units will go into service in 2 phases : the first phase in late 2005 and the second phase in late 2008.

New building for the Acna company

Aéroports de Paris is providing Acna with a lot totaling approximately 14,000m² for the construction of :

  • - a 4,200-m² frontier building, ;
  • - maneuvering grounds of about 1,500m² in the public zone ;
  • - maneuvering grounds of about 4,000m² in the restricted zone ;
  • - parking areas and service roads.

New building for the Servair company

Aéroports de Paris is providing Servair with a lot totaling approximately 16,000m² for the construction of :

  • - a 5,500-m² frontier building ;
  • - maneuvering grounds of about 1,200m² in the public zone ;
  • - maneuvering grounds of about 5,400m² in the restricted zone ;
  • - parking areas and service roads.

Construction of a private road access inspection and filtering station (PARIF) and related service roads

This PARIF gives access to the restricted zone to vehicles coming from Servair production units outside the CDG platform. For this project, Aéroports de Paris is providing an undeveloped lot of approximately 4,000m².

Air France Flight Personnel Complex: to meet the growth needs of a major market player

To support the development of Air France, Aéroports de Paris Real Estate is providing a lot of 31,200 m² in 2 parcels. This lot will be the site of a complex for administration, management and training of the airline’s flight personnel.

The complex, located in an extension of Air France’s headquarters at Roissypole, near the RER and SAT stations, this will consist of :

  • - a 30,000-m² building with 5 levels ;
  • - a parking area with 4,300 places ;
  • - a vehicle filtering checkpoint run by Air France.

It is scheduled to go into service in January 2006.
